It is good that people make movies like 300 because they open our eyes to the past. This movie starts with a man holding a little innocent child in his hands. The narrator says: "when the boy was born, like all Spartans he was inspected. If it'd been small or …it would have been discarded." You can see skulls down the height, where the old man is standing. Those skulls talk to you. This is a nice paradox: they are silent but they cry a long practiced cruel deed of barbaric people. And the word barbaric was repeatedly given to Persians while somewhere else we see the great, superman of Spartans throwing Persian emissaries down the pit. This film is reality in opposite direction. The film is a comedy as well since thousands of Persian arrows were thrown towards those 300 or something and they laughed under their shields while in reality they should have felt that they have to shiver.
