قفر (فتحه به قاف) به معناي بيابان بي آب و علف است و نيز به جائي اطلاق ميشود كه فاقد جمعيت و آباداني است.

نه آب و نه آباداني نه گلبانگ مسلماني: به قفر و بيابان اطلاق شود

 آدم نفهم هزار من زور دارد: نادان در آنچه نداند ستيز و لجاج كند
